Compaq Computer Recovery

My computer has been down for a while. I tried to upgrade the Internet Explorer, but my computer would not upgrade to it. I had to download Windows Service Pack 2. I thought Windows Service Pack 1 was enough. For a long time, I would not update it because my computer kept saying access denied when I tried it. When I tried to download Service Pack 2 one more time, some of it downloaded and some of it did not. So, Service Pack 2 did not work correctly, and my computer kept cutting off and restarting. I could not get to my desktop. I thought I was in big trouble.

Some very nice guys named Marty and Jeff was kind enough to help me at work. They showed me the Ultimate Boot CD for Windows. I tried the CD and it made it possible for me to get to a desktop screen that did not look like my original screen. I was able to click on My Computer and save my files. I could also burn my files to a CD writer with it, and I could go online.

The 2nd thing that I did was I restarted my computer and took my brother‘s advice. I hit the F10 key on my keyboard to go into the Compaq System Recovery, which was on my mind to do but was afraid to try. I selected the recovery option and clicked on next. It made a hard disk preparation, it copied my files, and it finalized the recovery. I had to restart my computer. When I was finished going through all of the steps, a thank you screen was there. The computer would not let me leave that screen when the set up was done. My computer sounded as if it was downloading and busy. My brother gave me some advice over the phone to leave the computer plugged up overnight and leaving it on without shutting it down. In the morning, my desktop was full of icons! I was happy to see it!

Then I had another problem. My drive C disk looked kind of full. It looked incorrect. So, I found a wonderful freeware program called HDCleaner. I was able to see files and folders that was taking up a lot of space on my drive. When I deleted them, I gained a lot of free space. I found out that if you import a lot of videos to a DVD burning program, it will make another copy of the videos in another folder. Videos, pictures, music, and pages from the internet can really add up. I am happy that my computer is back. Compaq is a great computer!

Printing In 3d From Your Desktop

Can you imagine printing anything you need at home from your printer like an ipod cover or something to eat? Well, there is such a thing. It is the project of Evan Malone, a graduate student in mechanical engineering at Cornell University. It is called a fabricating machine. Now it might be possible to bring fabrication to our desktop and anybody can invent technology.

Most of the time when you think of something, it seems somebody has already invented it. I use to imagine taking things from a Sears catalog and making it appear at home when I was a little girl around Christmas time. I wanted to invent some way to do that, and I thought it was impossible. I was always daydreaming. If I can own a fabricating machine, I wouldn’t have to go to the store anymore. Hey, I could save loads of money. Of course, I would have to pay thousands and thousands of dollars for the machine.

It is said that three-dimensional fabrication tools have been around for years. They can be used to make car parts or other machinery in a matter of minutes. Malone wants to build something cheap and reliable for hobbist. I hear you Malone! This idea can lead to greater things. For writers, musicians, filmmakers, and anyone that has a hobby. It would be helpful to me. With the machine, you could really share your ideas like we do on the internet. That means download and print items and upload your own projects. Wouldn’t that be cool? After all, the machine is just a printer. It is a 3D printer. In the future, that might be all Hewlett Packard DeskJet printers will be. I am excited about technology. It’s amazing what man can think of and do.

Internet Explore Should be Made like Television

Internet Explore is the first browser that I have ever used. I have tried other browsers too, but even they have flaws. I think that people learn from Internet Explore to make better browsers. Also, Internet Explore is updating to be better. Overall, I think the Internet itself needs change. We have too many trojans, spam, spies, worms, and viruses. Everybody is offering toolbars with too many add-ons. With all of the updating, programs seem to conflict with one another.



One of the problems that I have is Shock Wave and Adobe flash player which causes my Internet to loose connection day after day. We need these players for Youtube or to watch videos. Then we have to either disable the players or find another program to keep us from loosing Internet Connection. When that program has a problem, we would have to download something for that program. It’s a never ending story.



We need a better Internet with no Internet connection worries. There are too many things that can cause you to loose your connection. We need an Internet where we do not have to worry about firewalls and virus protection and security programs. We need an Internet where we do not have to worry about passwords and usernames for every website. The last thing that we need is an Internet that crashes.



When you turn on your television and go to your menu, you can set things the way you want it by just mashing one button. You do not need passwords, usernames, and security. I think the Internet should be made like television. You should be able to just turn it on, do your activities, and go without so much hassle and worry. We just need one cable plug and a plug for power.

Sometimes Successful People are not Successful People

Sometimes successful people are not successful people. Some people are not successful because they made it. Some of them cheat and lie to make it and that may have an affect on you. That might put you behind when you should have been the one on top. People become successful different ways. You can have everything that it takes to be successful and sometimes it means nothing. It may not always be intended for you because of something that might not be right for you up the road ahead. You may meet the person that was successful on your way to the top, and they might meet you on their way back down. For one thing, people do things out of self will. They think they done it all on their own. They do not believe that a God created them and they think that they made themselves. Then that successful person will try to give you their advice from their personal experience when your way in God may be better. Let your will be God’s will, let your strength be God’s strength, and let your knowledge and wisdom be God’s knowledge and wisdom. Then you can teach what success truly is and where it comes from.

There are many people that see Barack Obama as a hero. Now, I hear so many negative things about him. Some people despise the president, and some believe in him so much. When he became president, there were many people that looked up to him. There are people now that think that he can save the world. When he first became president, I saw his face all over the place. He was on T-Shirts at the flea mall, in newspapers and magazines all over the shelves, and now in cartoons and comics. It seemed that people worshiped him. These posters show that he is a superhero.

My Thoughts of Malcolm X

 Like all men, Malcolm X had fault. I cannot say that he was a bad man because I did not know his heart. He was also born before my time. So I did not know Malcolm at all. My mother did not really know who he was or where he came from. When I was in school, teachers never taught students about Malcolm in Black History. They did teach us about Martin Luther King. Also, I will not say that Malcolm was a hypocrite. I believe that Malcolm lived in a rough time, and he preached what he believed. I believe that he thought highly of Elijah Muhammad until he believed that Elijah Muhammad was having affairs with young secretaries. Malcolm must have felt that it was wrong because Elijah was a leader, and what he thought Elijah had done was against the teachings of the nation. I believe that God, who is Alpha and Omega and the creator of the whole world, was showing Malcolm that Elijah Muhammad was just a man.

According to history, there were times that Malcolm said things that he should not have said. He said things about John F. Kennedy that he should not have said, and felt things he should not have felt. Malcolm believed that the white man was the devil. I believe that God was showing him the jealousy of his own race within the Nation of Islam. God was showing him that there is a devil in all races. It appeared that Malcolm X was rising above Elijah Muhammad. It is said that Muhammad was upset. If that was the case, that proves that Elijah Muhammad was nothing more than a man. It also proves that Elijah Muhammad was breaking the commandments of God himself. One of the commandments I am speaking of is the tenth commandment, “Thou Shalt Not Covet….” Covet can lead you to kill and steal. So really we are all the same whether we are white or black. I do believe Malcolm was beginning to learn the real truth before his death.

The last thing that I will mention is power of Malcolm. He came at a time in history where black folks needed some of the things that Malcolm was teaching. We understand that the black race was hurting and in pain from the struggle of prejudice. I believe that God works through all things. I believe that if Malcolm had known the real truth all along, he might not have joined the Nation of Islam. He would have stuck with the word from God himself, and he would have left man’s religion alone. Malcolm did not appear to me as a follower. To me, he was more of a leader himself. Malcolm X had power to guide and lead people of all races in the right direction. I believe he was growing and learning more and more. What Malcolm could have done to help make this a better world was not meant to be. What Malcolm did do was just enough. If it was not enough, I do not believe God would have allowed him to die. If God had not allowed Malcolm to die, I do not know and cannot say what the outcome would have been. God may have seen something dreadful and terrible if Malcolm had lived. Maybe Malcolm had to die in order to be saved.
